Christopher Lyon, M.D., Ph.D., M.Sc., OculoFacial Surgeon, a Board Certified Ophthalmologist,

Dr. Christopher Lyon, OculoFacial Surgeon, is on the clinical teaching faculty
of the University of Southern California, Los Angeles and holds staff
privileges at Hoag and St. Joseph's Hospital. Dr. Lyon is double boarded.
He is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist and Board Certified Ophthalmic
Surgeon. He is Visiting Professor at UERM in the Philippines, where he
performs charity work on blind children, as Director & Founder of
THE BLINDNESS FOUNDATION.
Author of over 25 scientific articles, Dr. Lyon holds
a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from the University of Rhode Island, in
addition to his M.D. and M.Sc. (Virology) degrees. Dr. Lyon has held faculty
positions in Biology and Biophysics at the Universities of New York at
Buffalo, Rhode Island and UC Irvine.
Moreover, Dr. Lyon held a Cancer Research Scientist
post at the prestigious Roswell Memorial Institute, where he conducted
basic scientific research for several years, whilst teaching medical students.
Dr. Lyon trained in Oculo-plastic surgery and reconstruction
under Dr. Pierre Guibor at New York Medical College, Westchester County,
New York, and with Jules Stein UCLA Professors Norman Shorr and Henry
Baylis in Beverly Hills. In addition, Dr. Lyon has trained in Laser applications
in Plastic Surgery with Dr. Michael Berns at the Beckman Laser Institute
at the University of California Irvine. Dr. Lyon trained in FaceLift Surgery at Washington University in St. Louis, & Salt Lake City, Utah.
Dr. Lyon is a member of the California Medical Association,
American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the Orange County
Ophthalmologic Society, a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology,
the American Board of Ophthalmic Surgeons, the California Association
of Ophthalmologist and other Societies.
